I have been accepted to NYU Stern and I am worried about what they will do if my grades are bad. I know they send mid-year and end of year reports. So here's the problem - all my grades are good (B+/A-) except my math grade which was a B- for first quarter and will be a C or lower second. Then there's the midterm which I havent taken yet. My question - will NYU take back their decision just because of one bad grade? If so, how bad does that grade have to be?

You’ll be fine… just make sure it doesn’t drop into D/F range.

I’m surprised to hear a student with a B- in Math could even get into Stern. I had Calc BC as a senior and my college counselor told me I had to raise my grade from a A- to an A if I wanted to hope to get in. Nevertheless, your’e lucky you got in early decision so that NYU will not have more time to consider your Math grade. Unfortunatley, Math is a rather important subject to a business student, so NYU would be more likely to pull you out with a bad Math grade than say, a bad History grade. However, it is dubious you will get pulled out. If the rest of your application is strong, you should be fine.

can u tell me ur stats please? i applied to nyu and i would die to go there!
