will ohio state rescind my admission?

so, i'm feeling rather worried these days cuz of my first semester grade.
i'm taking a regular (non honors/ap) physics class at school. i wasn't planning on taking physics at all, but my school at the last minute said i needed to take it to be eligible to take AP Bio 2nd semester.

so first semester, i took two 1.5 hour science classes (the other one was an accelerated human anatomy/physiology course).

..i might be getting a C/C+ in physics.
i've never gotten lower than a B- (honors chem) in high school, so i'm kinda worried that ohio state (my top choice) will rescind my admission.

i'm doing better in my anatomy class than i am in this class, which seems strange, but i'm honestly just terrible at physical sciences, no matter how hard i try.

do u think ohio state will rescind? or places like pennstate, indiana u, etc.

any advice appreciated!

if you are already accepted into ohio state then it will do nothing...

if you aren't it might not look good on ur mid year but thats it

I doubt that they'll rescind unless you've gotten C/C+ grades elsewhere during the same grading period.

yea i've already been accepted in osu, but some other kids in the same deal are worried too, >_<
and, that C/C+ is a final course grade. not just a quarter grade, etc.

If it's only a semester course, it shouldn't really matter. I can't imagine that they'd say: "we don't want you" if that's your only C.

hmm..ya all of our school's classes are semester long courses.
but i'm assuming ur saying that its ok still?
gahhhh i hope so.

I certainly hope so because I haven't even been accepted anywhere yet and I might be in the exact same situation (although mine is only a semester, not a final grade). The thing is, in my situation, we have a really hard program and we have this project that counts for A LOT of your marking period grade, but your grade on the project is a fraction of the best person's grade, so the better they do, they lower you get. Everyone has C's-F's in all of the sections, but there is no way a college would know that.

Speaking to that point, if they contact you somehow, have your teacher or guidance counselor speak up on your behalf.

aieeee so does that mean since all my classes are on semester long schedules there's a good chance that'll happen?

sigh

If your test scores are good, it's unlikely OSU is really too worried about your midyear grades. Considering you've already been accepted, It's probably not worth worrying about. OSU's dealing with way too many applications to be worried about one of their first(which seem to be their top) admittances' C+.

believe me ur fine don't worry about it..

if u start getting consistant d's and f's, then lets talk =P
