Will one bad grade on my mid year report ruin my chances?

My current grades:
Art history honors: B+
AP French: A-
AP/AB Calc: C-
Constitutional law: A
Physics honors: B+
Creative writing honors: A

I’m confident I’ll be able to raise B+s to A-'s and A-'s to A’s but I’m not confident that’ll I’ll get my Calc grade up to atleast a C+ by the end of the semester.

I’m applying to NYU, Hunter College, Baruch College, Clark Uni, UMASS Amherst, Smith College,

Are mid year reports really that important? Anyone have any past expierences with a low grade on their mid year report?

What are you planning on Majoring in? If it’s engineering to anything like that, I would be worried. And even if it isn’t it’s still not ideal, but probably not absolutely terrible.

A C- should not hurt your chances. After your years of hard work, this will not be your determining factor. Colleges will be looking at you holistically.

I’m majoring in Pre-Law

A C- won’t kill you, but it certainly won’t help. Just make sure you get an A next quarter to show that you could make a comeback and improve.

Avoid getting a D or F.

Prelaw students can be any major.
