I have a 74.8% in Japanese 2 and hope to get it to a B. If I get a C, will UCB revoke my admission offer (if I get in)? I have a 3.6 gpa, Pol Sci. Hoping to get two A's in my other classes.

I don’t think they would revoke you if you get a C. Like for UCLA, you can only get 2 C’s your senior year, and maintain at least a 3.00 GPA throughout your whole senior.(if accepted). So, I would believe the same at Berkeley or something similar.

NO!!!(sorry for that:))

do you guys think it will look bad for PhD grad school if I got a C?

High school does not matter for graduate school, only undergrad counts.

Sorry if I didn’t say it, but I am a transfer student, not a high school student.

I would be more concerned with what the C would do to your already middle of the pack GPA. If I understand correctly you said it’s 3.6? If they ask you for an SGR and it goes lower that might hurt you. ( I know nothing about the admissions process, this is purely speculation on my part)

At least for CoE, Berkeley’s conditions of acceptance were to have a 3.0+ for spring semester before transferring (not overall, just for the semester/quarters), and no failed classes. If Poli Sci has the same rules, you should be fine.

Sounds good guys. UCBoundVet, what is a SGR? Can’t find anything about that.

Spring grade report. Borderline applicants are often asked to submit their spring grades as a determining factor for admissions.

As long as you don’t significantly drop in GPA (maintain at least 3.0) then they shouldn’t say anything about it.
