I'm currently a freshman student at a Christian University in Indiana. It's not a community college, it's a four-year traditional university. For my sophomore year (2014-2015), I want to transfer to Clemson University. Clemson doesn't 'require' that I have 30 transferable credits prior to applying as a transfer, but having less than this prerequisite means that I'll need to submit my SAT/ACT scores and High School transcripts. Though my grades and scores weren't bad, they were just average in High School.

Now as a Freshman, I currently have a 3.5 GPA in some very difficult courses. I am well above the standard Clemson has for transfer students.

My one concern -- I might not have 30 transferable credits. Though If I fall short, It will only be by one or two (I should finish the year with 29). I'm playing sports, so wanted to limit my load.

If I take one online course to get those extra two credits, would Clemson accept those credits, even though I earned them online? What are some other options for getting that 1 extra credit I need to keep them from looking at my High School record?
