Will it hurt my chance of getting a Merit Scholarship if I have not heard if I am receiving one yet, but already paid my acceptance fee?

I can’t see how there would be any correlation to you paying your acceptance fee and receiving a merit scholarship. I think you’re just stressing about your scholarship. Also, anything involving finiancial aid at OSU is always done last minute with minimal information, but everything always turns out to be okay.
If you need more reassurance, call the finanical aid department!

I sure hope not either. After hemming and hawing, paid acceptance fee today while still awaiting scholarship info (Provost) and Honor’s college decision. We are in state, so it is still affordable option, relatively speaking. D is already lining up roommates and wants to have first dibs on newer, nicer dorms. So decided not to wait any longer. OSU has always been her first choice anyway.
