Hi all, Ive recently been accepted into OSU. Unfortunately I’m out of state so I have to pay out of state tuition. I took my SAT in Nov so I couldn’t apply early action, and apparently the only way to receive merit scholarships was if you applied before the Nov 1st deadline. I plan on contacting OSU and seeing if they could review my situation and reconsider my financial aid package to include some merit scholarship. Any tips/advice would be much appreciated, thanks!
Hi @OSU22NB. The deadline to be considered for the National Buckeye and associated awards was 11/1. That being said, they aren’t guaranteed even to those who do apply by then and are qualified based on stats. Unfortunately, there are many on these threads who more than met the criteria in terms of deadline and stats for the National Buckeye, but didn’t receive any merit because the funds were exhausted. My best guidance would be to contact your regional admissions counselor to ask if there are other available scholarship applications you can complete. Good luck!
hey! I’m in the same position as you. I really can’t afford the high tuition and got no aid/scholarships. Also I heard OSU doesn’t really consider appeals but still def try and tell me how it goes.
