Will poor HS grades and one bad college semester ruin my chances? (Junior Transfer)

I am currently a sophomore at a CC and my dream is to transfer to UNC Chapel Hill as a Junior and major in Economics. However, my situation is a tad bit complicated. I did poorly in high school, as college wasn’t much of an option for financial reasons, and now i am worried it may come back to haunt me.

Additionally, my first semester at CC my transmission in my car blew and i had to stop attending past the withdrawal date. I have since saved up enough money to fix my car, and pay my way through school out of pocket. I have retaken all of my previous courses as well.

Stats

  • Intended Major: Economics
  • Credits Completed: 50
  • College GPA: 4.0 (Took some rigorous courses relating to major: Micro, Macro, Accounting, Calc, ect)
  • Presidents list 3 semesters in a row
  • High School GPA: Not good
  • ACT/SAT: Wont be disclosing as Junior applicants do not have to

–Extracurriculars–

  • North Carolina Scholars of Global Distinction Graduate (Rigorous intercultural program started by UNC to partner with community colleges, somewhat of a gateway program)
  • Senator for Student Government Association
  • Secretary/Liaison for Student Welfare Committee
  • Member of Phi-Theta-Kappa (National CC honors society)
  • Hourly Manager at McAlister's Deli (Worked part time throughout my entire college career)

Wrote an essay on the poor semester, all my essays are pretty good i believe. I also have two letters of recommendation (One from a Business prof, one from head of NC Scholars at my CC), both of which are solid.

If anybody could weigh in on my situation it would be greatly appreciated.
