Will Q1 grades for senior year hurt me?

I didn’t realize that Cornell wants quarter 1 grades for senior year (I applied ED) until after the quarter ended. Will my Q1 grades hurt my application? Could this hurt me especially if I’m on the border of being accepted or rejected?

AP Lit: A-
Honors World History (dual enrollment): A
AP Calc AB: A
Finance and Investing (elective): A
Programming II: A+
Honors Bio II (dual enrollment): B-

Extra info: My bio grade is being brought down mainly because of one test and one quiz that was from the start of the year. Otherwise, I did really well in that class. I applied to CALS but my major doesn’t really involve biology. And generally speaking, I’m a student with mainly As.

You should be fine. these grades are pretty good.

Same note: My daughter may potentially end up with one C(AP Econ) and one C+ (AP Cal) in her MP1 and she had applied for EOE Ed for comp. sci. Will that hurt her acceptance?

@parent2001 The calc grade made raise some red flags for cs.

True and fingers crossed :frowning: Her SAT Maths : 790 and Math2 : 770. Hope, they take that into consideration.

Where do you even turn in the Q1 grades? My daughters application checklist doesn’t ask for Q1 grades and shows everything is complete. She too applied for COE.

Not sure. My daughter application check list also all green check marks. Just checking if we need to submit Q1
grades whether it will have an impact.

@parent2001 Our school college counselor told my daughter and the other ED applicants that unless they contact them asking for it saying they’re missing that information or something else, they don’t need to send it. Who knows? One thing I agree with others from the other thread is that they definitely do seem disorganized and for an Ivy League school, their whole process and applicant website status is not impressive, especially considering they have a top computer science program you would think they would have their crap together with their website and learn from issues last year.

@srparent15 Thank you. Fingers crossed…
