I made a mistake and sent an AP score of 3 to my dream school even though they don’t accept 3’s. I am also applying test optional to that school. Will my chances of getting in be unaffected as long as everything else on my application is strong? Will it even matter if I don’t self report the 3 on the common app?
Don’t worry about it. If you don’t get in, it won’t be because of one 3 you didn’t mean to submit - and anyway, it’s done, just don’t attract attention to it.
If you do have 5s obviously report them but they’re not make or break either.

Agreed - if you have a 3 and they don’t accept a 3, you’re not going to get class credit. It will have zero impact on your app.

Out of curiosity what school still asks applicants to send AP scores pre-enrollment? That seems rare these days.
My guess is the OP used the free score report with their junior year exams, not that the college required the score report with the application
