Will sending emails to colleges about application error fixes harm me in the admissions process?

Hello all.

I just wanted to know if emailing colleges about errors on my application will harm me in the admissions process. I have found a minor spelling error & wanted to self-report my AP test scores so I sent out 2 emails to the colleges I have applied to about these updates. Will this hurt me? Colleges like Emory even has a FAQ page instructing students to email about application errors/updates. Help would be appreciated. And Happy New Year!

It might if they perceive you as annoying or compulsive, but if they think your emails are reasonable, then it won’t hurt at all.
