<p>I am admittedly getting worried about my admissions decision from Tulane. My app was completed on November 8; however, there was a wait to review it until Tulane received my ACT scores from the October test date. It would be much appreciated if someone gave me some thoughts of my chances. Thank you in advance.</p>

ACT 31
3 APs (School offers very few) AP Cal AB, AP Lang. and Comp., AP Bio
Also, didn't do well on the AP exams, but admissions counselor said it didn't really matter
Rank: 1/223
Around 13 academic awards</p>

Tutoring all throughout hs, lots of hours
hospice administrative assistant, salvation army kroc center play care assistant, nursing center volunteer</p>
<p>I applied early action, and Tulane is definitely my top choice. I've showed a lot of interest: did the Why Tulane essay, went to campus event, took a tour, and went to Tulane to talk to my admissions counselor one on one (fortunately, I live close to Tulane, so it's very easy to just drop by). </p>
<p>Anyways, I am very confused as to why I haven't gotten a decision back. Is there any reason to support why I would get deferred? I'm afraid this will be the outcome.</p>
<p>IMHO you are getting in with scholarship money. You probably haven’t heard because there is a big scramble to finish up the review process to make the deadline of 12/15. Don’t stress. Stay positive. You are in great shape.</p>
<p>I agree with doingthisagain on all counts, and your app got in almost at the deadline, so there is a huge stack by that time. Only 3 more days.</p>

Well, obviously your GPA cannot be beat, and neither can your class rank. Your ACT is on the low side compared to previous winners, but who knows. You should definitely try. Don’t forget the Paul Tulane Award also. It is worth full tuition, but it has to be postmarked by Saturday as well.</p>

<p>I’m just checking in with y’all. Thank you again for giving me opinions when I asked. Unfortunately, I found out I was defered. I was pretty surprised and confused, but it happened for a reason. I will be doing all I can to enable me to get admitted in the spring. Any suggestions on what I should do?</p>
