I'm Israel and I live in Thailand, and Stanford has been my dream school for a looooong time now.

I study in a school that provides no SAT courses or guidance whatsoever so I had to study for the SAT tests myself...

I do IB and my predicted grades are 44/45 which is really good. I am ranked top of my school, and I've got excellent ECs - like, really, really excellent. My recommendations are really good too.

The only thing is the SAT. I'm planning to apply to Stanford in the field of engineering/physics. Now, here are my SAT scores:

I am devastated by the drop in Math and CR. I guess I practiced too much for the WR and neglected the others. I haven't taken my SAT II tests yet, but I am planning on taking Physics and Math. Funnily enough, in my school I am the top physics student and one of the best in math - predicted a 7 in both for IB.

My question is - how will Stanford view this? Will they superscore my scores (then my score would be 2170) or will they view the drop in scores (in the more relevant areas, I believe) as really bad and reject me?

Please be honest
Have I still got a chance at Stanford?

^^^thats a marginal drop, 20/40 points is well with in the variation from test to test

and if you think yours are bad here’s some food for thought:
Math 01/2009: 800
Math 06/2009: 690

score choice came out pretty much right after i took my test and im not going to lie, i didnt give a **** about math the 2nd time around thinking i could just Score Choice and all would be well…

even if it was worse, you still would have a chance at stanford assuming the rest of your app is up to snuff.

That makes me feel a little better.
But what about the scores themselves? Are they too low to get into Stanford? I mean, I looked at the score percentiles for Stanford - it’s not that bad I guess… These are above average. But… That’s just a rushed calculation, I need someone that knows a little more to give me an opinion.
