I'm thinking of taking one semester off because of personal reasons.
I'm in my third year in undergraduate studies so I would be taking my second semester of third year off.
I'm planning to apply to law school after I graduate.
Will taking a semester off put me in a bad position later when I apply for law school?
Please help!
Thank you in advance!

No. That’s one of the few things I can say for sure.
They wouldn’t disadvantage you because of your taking a quarter off.
If you take a quarter off in the middle of a junior year, you might not be able to take
some important advanced level classes so that can possibly affect your transcript.
But still, it’s up to you how you would make up for it. Just the fact that you take a semester off
wouldnt’ be a problem.

My sense is that you should have a REALLY good excuse. If its a family medical situation, financial or a once in a lifetime internship opportunity, I would go with you are fine, otherwise, it could hurt you. Be prepared to document and explain it though either way.
