WIll the UC's rescind my decision?

On my application, I had stated that I will take four AP courses with APEX Learning (Online AP courses, since my school didn’t offer AP courses and I wanted to take the exam). However, in my country, the ONLY AP test center (an extremely expensive private school) did not allow me to take the exams in May. I tried calling the collegeboard but there really isn’t anything I can do. So, I decided to replace those courses with equally difficult courses (same subjects) at my school. Will the UC’s understand this, or will they rescind my decision? I will not be taking the AP exams that I had ‘planned’ on my application.

PS: I’m a California resident studying abroad if that matters.

Go here for instructions on how to update your application via email to the UC Application Center http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/how-to-apply/after-you-apply/index.html Provide the update and explain the reason for the change and you should have no issue. Waiting for the UCs to learn of the change in June or July when you submit final grade information could create an issue because of your failure to update now.

@drusba I’ll get right on that. Thanks!
