I am applying RD, and will probably send in my app in the next two weeks. Am I correct in understanding that Princeton will contact me about an interview?
Does the same apply for Yale and Harvard?
Each school desires to interview every applicant. Given the fact that they outnumber volunteer spots, it’s random and you may not be contacted. But that’s not held against you.
Right, right, but the responsibility to initiate is on them, right? I’ve only applied to one school so far that requires the interview (MIT), and with that school the responsibility was on me. So, I don’t know what to expect with these schools.
Yes, they initiate. I can’t speak for the other schools as I haven’t gone through their process but if someone is available, you will be contacted.
Sounds good. Looking forward to them.
Yep, they’ll be the one to contact you. Same goes for Harvard and Yale, if all goes according to last year’s application cycle! Went through the process for all three schools and am a freshman at Princeton now.
