I am on the verge of transfering to a new school, i will be taking AP literature and composition which has a summer assignment, and that is: 2 books to read with 1-2 pages of questions to answer plus an essay to write. the problem is that i only have two weeks to do all these since school will start 2 weeks after. Is the summer assignment up to the teacher? Will the school give me an extension in time or even make an exception for me to skip it?
Yes
It’s up to the school, so ask them. It is not uncommon for a student to be dropped from an AP class if s/he did not do the summer assignment. In this case, the teacher is anticipating hitting the ground running with discussions of the books, so if you have not read, you really can’t contribute. But certainly ask.
