If I send in my application/ SAT scores/ current transcripts and everything to the colleges I'm applying to now, will they wait for my senior grades to come out and take those into account.

I'll be applying regular decision. I have application deadlines on January 5 and January 15 and my senior year grades won't be mailed till January 25th.

Will they still take these into account? Or will they simply admit me/ dismiss me based on the stats I have now?

A lot depends on the school(s) you are applying to, how selective the school is, and where your profile fits into their admitted student profile. If based on your current GPA/test scores/application you are out of range, then Fall senior grades will not rescue you. Unless there’s a very drastic change, one semester out of 8 won’t change your overall GPA a whole lot. In addition, although your application deadlines are in early January and your grades won’t be mailed until later in the month, it takes time for files to be worked and your fall senior grades may be received by the time they review your file. Any admission acceptance will also be contingent on acceptable spring senior grades.

Send it in, and make sure your GC is on top of sending your semester grades when they are ready. Every college we have looked at requires first semester grades.

And don’t slack off between now and graduation. The college you plan to attend will require a copy of your final transcript. Too many bad grades, and your offer if admission will be rescinded.
