Will this help me get into Northwestern ED?

I’m a high school senior with average grades but a very low act/sat score. I have a 25 ACT but I’m studying to get that up to a 28+. My SAT is a 1230 and my GPA is a 3.81 (idk weighted). Do I have a chance at Northwestern ED if I visited twice (will a third time to shadow a student), have a very good “Why Northwestern” essay, and I’m Hispanic, low income, first generation college student?

Being Hispanic, low income, first generation can help a bit but first and foremost you need to be academically qualified. Admissions officers want students who have an academic record which shows they can succeed at the college. Right now your standardized test scores are well below the 25th percentile for the school which, barring any major hook (ex. recruited athlete) makes your chance of admission unlikely. https://admissions.northwestern.edu/documents/northwestern-class-of-2022-facts-and-figures.pdf

If you want to apply that is your choice, but understand it is a long-shot. I fear that you are placing too much emphasis (with three visits) on one reach school. Please spend the time necessary to create a well balanced application list that includes match and safety schools that appear affordable (run net price calculators) and that you would be happy to attend.
