<p>Hello, I am new to this forum and I am wondering about a few things regarding admissions.</p>

<p>My best friend's father was a close friend of the President of my dream school. I know that being accepted into a school is never as cut and dry as earning a specific GPA or test score, but statistically speaking, the school is a reach for me. </p>

<p>I plan on meeting with the President of this school just to get to know more about the school.</p>

<p>I am a fairly amiable person in interviews... will this connection help my chances of gaining admission?</p>
