Will this hurt me?

<p>I'm applying ED to JHU. Knowing that GPA and class rigor is of the utmost importance, will this hurt me a lot?</p>

<p>I haven't been a straight A student, but have had an upward trend since 9th grade...</p>

<p>3.5, 3.5, 3.83, 3.83, 4.5, this semester. </p>

<p>This semester, I received a 4.33... due to one bad paper in my AP US History class which my teacher refuses to reread - otherwise I would have easily gotten an A. I even sent him a nicely worded letter...</p>

<p>Will this drop in GPA right now affect me a lot? </p>

<p>No. I have a 4.0 scale where an A in an AP class counts as a 5, B counts as a 4, etc. All non-AP classes are on a 4.0 scale.</p>
