I just checked my november SAT I score, and my score dropped from 2270 to 2180. I was all excited before checking the score, but I am very frustrated and am extremely worried about my chance of admission for Brown University, the school I applied for early decision. I wonder if the adcom will see this huge decrease with suspicion. I wished to get 2300+ to increase my chance. :(

um... i highly doubt it.

Plus, the difference between 2270 and 2300 is kinda insignificant, it's almost like comparing a 1520 to a 1540

I don't think that matters very much. Like someone said the difference between a 2270 and a 2300 is virtually non-existent. They are within the same score band.

It's 2270 and 2180, not 2270 and 2300.

gxing, I think the other posters are comparing his actual score to the one he was hoping to achieve, to make the point that his chances are about what they would be even if the OP had gotten a 2300.

Most colleges take your highest composite score. Don't sweat it
