It seems like just about everyone takes a few AP classes in high school. I, however, have not. The reason is that my school only got it's first AP course (US History) this year. So, instead of AP classes I've been taking concurrent college classes. Will they count as the same thing?

thanks

Along with your hs transcript adcoms also receive a "profile" of the high school. The format is different from school district to school district, but it certainly contains the number of AP courses offered. The number of AP courses that an applicant takes is judged not as an obsolute number, but is rather compared to the # offered. They are mainly looking to see if the applicant took the most challenging curriculum offered. In your case, you have done this by taking the courses at the college.
