Ok my idea was to go into a BS/MD program but in case I don't make it will it hurt my other back up colleges to have a lot of medically related extracurricular activities?

You might be asked about the medical theme in your ECs if you lack in other areas. For my regular UGs, I played it off as being related to my biomedical engineering interests because I didn’t want to say I was premed. You could also just say you were trying out activities to explore your interests, or maybe that you considered being a premed and decided against it.

No, it wouldn’t hurt you and may in fact help to show that you have some focus (as long as it’s not too narrow). So have your medical ECs, but also have your clubs, school activities like music/sports that round you out. I am in the same situation this year applying to a ton of BS/MDs and good normal UGs and have thus far done alright.

Neoevolution, i saw your stats and there pretty good but how did u shadow a physician. It seems like I’m missing that. Also is that most of the BS/MD programs or are there more that you didn’t apply to because I know that there are very few

I shadowed a primary care doctor at his practice, but he was a family friend. Some hospitals allow for shadowing of their doctors, or you could cold call practices until you found one willing to let you shadow.
