Will this make my college application better?

So if I attend a summer college program on a scholarship to earn college credits and take college level classes, will colleges like that? Rather than maybe working over the summer.

The college I am applying for the summer program is not prestigious or anything though.

I know if students pay to go on summer programs it’s not that impressive because it just shows that those students are privileged and payed their way to the program…

so thats why im asking if attending the same programs but on a scholarship will be any better. It sounds fun but Im also concerned on whether it will be a good addition to my college resume.

Thanks!

both are the same

Unless it’s a very selective merit scholarship summer program from a reputable institution, its as good as a summer job. Do what you would like to do.

@“Yalie 2011” I thought it would be better to attend the summer program because it’s a full scholarship - something I could mention to colleges. I know some people say paying for a summer program might make me seem like a wealthy kid who’s going wherever his parents make him go. Do you still think they’re the same? As a low income kid, do you think going via scholarship makes it any more better?
