i just got a C on the calc c midterm... will this successfully eliminate any chances of going to an ivy league or top school?

I should still be able to get an A overall for calc c and a 5 on the AP test...

if you say you can get an A overall, i don’t think it will make any difference. a C on a single exam won’t break you.

Wait, why would this hurt you in the least if you’ll get an A for the class overall?

All they’re looking at is the class grade, not progress reports…

Even if it’s a C, it’s okay. I mean it sure doesn’t help youu, but from what I’ve been reading, colleges are starting to pay less attention to grades because of all the factors varying them all over each school and like country!

But good luck :)

Does your school show midterm grades on the transcript? My school only shows final grades, some schools do each semester grade and the exam grade. I haven’t heard of a school that gives out midterm grades, but I could be wrong.

If it doesn’t show up on the transcript, and you get an A in the class, it matters exactly nil.

If they don’t see the C, you’re fine. Trust me. :)

what if they can see the C but i get an A overall? would that make a big difference?

^
Why would they see a C? Does your school show progress report grades?

Colleges will only care about the final grade for a class, so yes, you are fine. Keep in mind, though, getting that A may be tougher than you anticipate…

What if they see a real C? Like a C+ as a final grade in AP Chemistry?

What you get on individual tests doesn’t matter at all. It’s your overall grade in the class that a college will see.

Don’t feed the ■■■■■…
