Will those close to NYC receive acceptance letters by mail before online?

I know it has a lot to do with your local post office and mailman, and both of mine happen to be very lazy. On the very very slim chance that I do get in, I just want to know what to expect. At point though, I don't even care enough to check online; I'm 90% sure I'm going to one of my safeties since I got waitlisted at Rice and CMU, so no chance at SEAS

I don’t think Ivy leagues even send out their letters until April 1st because of the online system they use now. In-fact I’m not even sure if they send out letters anymore unless its for acceptances (I know for a fact Stanford and Duke do not unless you request them). I guess all of us just have to wait until April 1st :(.

I think OP is asking if the mail will be there on April 1 before decisions are up online at 5. There is a chance.

There is no chance. The acceptances are MAILED on April 1st. They won’t arrive until April 2nd at the earliest. Check online.

Acceptances were mailed today through UPS. Anyone within an hour of NYC should have them tomorrow if accepted.

Agreed. They were sent out today, which means, that since they are using UPS, there is a good chance. Lucky dogs, and good luck to all!!

the email from columbia said they aren’t mailing decisions unless you ask them to do so when you receive your online decision, so i doubt it  i wish though, i’m on LI and the wait is killinggg me!

letters were mailed today
frankly, I’d rather check online than by mail. then my whole family sees before I do :/

They aren’t mailing out rejections, just acceptances. You can request a rejection letter… but who wants one?
