William and Mary 2010 Transfer

the facebook page is wm admission. and 80 does seem really small for a wait list. i guess they’re trying not to string people along with it.

keep in mind, they only have 700 applications and 250 that they accept, so i feel like 80 for a waitlist seems pretty accurate to me

I’m in as well. Good job everyone. UVAHopeful, are you sure you’re correct with the 250 out of 700 statistic? I believe it says that on the W&M website, but I read the transfer rate on this website and it was something like 52%.

Just got my acceptance letter :)

(never got an email)

yeah for people who got waitlisted or accepted, did you get an email? I probably wont hear until Monday (west coast) and want to see if I have a chance :/

waitlisted. no e-mail.

@jocelyne626 i received an email around 830 on thursday night…

i think that statistic, about there being 250 out of 700 or something, refers to the number of spots william and mary has to offer. The acceptance is actually higher, probably around 350 people get in I guess, because wandm anticipates a certain number declining to attend.

For those of you who didnt get in this time…keep trying! I was waitlisted when I applied from high school, and then I dropped out of my first college and attended community college for a semester and by some miracle got in this time. Although I think my story is compelling so that mustve been worth something lol. Best wishes…never give up :)

Does anyone know where the transfer rates for this year are? UVA already posted theirs, was wonderng if W&M did.

I am still waiting on a letter too.

I haven’t recieved an e-mail. =/

quick other question- my mid-term report was a 4.0, all A’s. However, since I was accepted, It looks like I’m ending up with either 3/4 A’s and 1/2 B’s. Is this like a significant drop? Would WandM take back their admissions offer to a transfer bc of this?

i dont know if this is true for WM, but i know for UVA, rescinding transfer admissions is really rare… i would imagine it would be about the same for WM. in any case, i dont think thats a very large drop anyway- youd have to fail a class or two to be in trouble. :P

if it helps, i never received and email and i got accepted a week ago…however does anyone know when financial aid packages start coming in? also im out of state, how much aid can i expect with an efc of 0?

I don’t know if this helps, but I got fed up and called them, and they said they haven’t reviewed my application yet, will look at it and decide in the next few days and that I should get an email by next week! I wonder if it’s because I’m international? If not, it could just be that they had a stack of applications somewhere and forgot to look at it and are now frantically deciding! :(

Waitlisted… Anyone plan to accept a spot?

im accepting at UVA so here’s one spot you guys can count on for the William and Mary waitlist!
good luck everyone!

Thanks! Congrats! I hope you love UVA! :)

Did anyone go to admit day today? If so, what did you think? :)

I went! It was fun, I enjoyed it… I was debating between W&M and UVA, and I decided today that the Tribe was the better choice for me! Sending in my decision tomorrow. :)

@cannibalizm Congrats! Glad you liked it! I wish I could have gone.
