GPA 3.79 (Approx)
ACTS 34
SAT Math 700, Critical Reading 750, Writing 730

Live in a VERY rural town in Southern Virginia.

Tae Kwon Doe (BLACK BELT!!!), Pep Club, Yearbook, FBLA, Youth, Church Band, Community Service (Mostly with Youth)

What are my chances of getting in?

Well, they sound good to me, for what that's worth. :) Your SAT scores are at or above their 75th percentile. From what I've read on these boards and heard from people in my d's alumni network, qualified kids from rural southern VA are sought-after applicants, since there are so many NOVA kids who apply.

Is your GPA weighted or unweighted? If unweighted, I'd say it's got you comfortably in the ball park. Other aspects to consider: the rigor of your curriculum as well as the quality of your essays and recs. Those things really do count at W & M.

I'm presuming you're a girl. So that makes it a tad more difficult. Is the GPA weighted or unweighted? Either way I say you have a pretty decent chance given that the rest of your application (essays and the like) is as solid as that 34 suggests. Kudos on that. William and Mary admissions is a crap shoot because they look at ALL factors. Your geography may actually help you in this case considering your locale rarely sends people to W&M. Best of luck, and I hope you make it to The College.

You'll probably get in. Write interesting essays.

Get your school councilor to nominate you for the Murray Scholar Award. This will help secure your spot. South Central or Southwestern VA? The Murray Scholar Award requires a 1400+ out of 1600 and you have to write an essay. Great job!

Southwestern

looks like a strong candidate.
