Is William Hung still at UCB? How important was William Hung in making UCB more prestigious/popular? And how did he get into UCB because in his free time, Hung is a fan of the anime Pok

um...i have no idea about these questions because i neither go to UCB or give a fork about william hung. but i have another question to add (i didnt want to make a whole new topic). Does anyone have celebrities that currently go to their college, or are maybe in on of their classes. maybe c or d list people, but i guess celebrities nonetheless.

supposedly john gotti (from the show "growing up gotti") is going to my school (northeastern univ) this fall. who else has a celebrity or well known person attending their school?

As far as I know there are no famous people attending my school, but I do go to school with the children of Jamie Lee Curtis, Neil Young and Peter Coyote (who is pretty C list, but in so many movies).

My sister goes to Berkeley.. I think she saw him walking around campus once. Berkeley was a prestigious school a long time before William Hung came around.. and I don't think him going there makes the school any more popular.. he's more of a long running joke than anything else.

Hung was going to Berkeley before he even tired out for Idol. Also as Pearlinthemist said, the school has been very prestigious for a long time now, he had nothing to do with it.

John Elway's daughter is at my school.

But I think William Hung made the school more popular to the public because I don't think most people heard of berkeley before william hung.

I disagree, Berkeley has been a well known school for a very long time! I doubt William Hung did much of anything for the popularity of Berkeley.

haha, oh William Hung.

i didn't even know he went to Berkeley...how many people actually know he went to Berkeley? or a better question...

how many people actually think about William Hung ever or think about him when applying to schools?

hmm...probably none tophatinparis88. that would be pretty sad/scary if they did

8-Olympic medal winning swimmer Michael Phelps is at UMich.

agreed gemstar.

he was an unfortunate fad which came and went just as quickly as the other so- called "American Idols." (besidess Kelly Clarkson, of course)

I wonder if there's a website that lists which celebrities go to which colleges.

Why did William Hung leave a prestigious engineering university? He could've had a lucrative and stable career as a civil engineer making upwards of 50k.

I had no clue he left.

He didn't leave, he's taking a 2 year break. I didn't have any idea what you guys were talking about and I did a search (it was the first result). He's cashing in on this while he still can, if he waits his fame will die.

I actually have a friend named William Hung who was going to go to UCB but because of THE William Hung, he decided not to. He even lives on the West Coast!

William Hung making UCB more popular?

Yeah, right.....I started looking down on it

Tim Daly's son goes to Middlebury and Tim comes up for move-in (or at least according to students.)

"Hi my name is william hung a civil engineer from UUUUU CEEEE BERKKKlIIIEEEYY"
