@jpvn2015 They have never, ever “advertised” a December 1 decision date. That might be their idealistic goal that they have achieved previously, but they have never claimed to release decisions any time other than “early December”. As for the football game, honestly, don’t you think they need a break? The process of reviewing applications is more stressful to them than waiting is for us, to be honest. I understand your frustration but you’ll just have to wait. It’s still early December, so they can still release without going back on their word.

@ribbonroad224 No need to come across as if I wronged WM. And you are incorrect in that they have never ever advertised December 1st. At the fall focus day I attend they explicitly said "December 1. Yes, they do need a break…I understand that. But it’s their job. We did our part, now it’s their turn. If it’s not out tonight I will be very frustrated.

Has anyone checked WMorientation ig? They posted a welcome to Ed students of 2019!!!

@ribbonroad @jpvn2015 — Just to break the tension a bit, I have to agree with jpvn2015 because I too have seen somewhere where they said Dec 1st, however, most posts do say Early December. I am sure there is some explanation why it is being delayed, possibly double checking everything? I too am very anxious, but I would want W&M to be 100% sure that they did ED correctly. At least we will have an answer soon and not have to wait until the 15th or January like most ED applicants…

@jpvn2015 I have never seen in writing that they release on Dec. 1. I didn’t mean to come across as rude to you haha :)

& :o :o :O

So did the orientation people just jump the gun? Does this mean it’s today???

@WAMbamthankyou im hoping that means today!

Wait…what orientation people?

@ribbonroad224 It’s all good. I’m just very tense. haha

They deleted the tweet

It’s my birthday today!!

@jpvn2015 Yes, they have a job to do. You’re right. They also are human beings who have lives, families, and other obligations. They are making decisions that will literally impact people for the rest of their lives. I’m sure it’s frustrating for you, but it’s actually probably a good thing they are taking their time, as they’ll build the best possible class and appropriately give every candidate the time and care they deserve. I was in your position in 2007. I got accepted ED. I was rather over-qualified (2280, 4.46, plus legacy) and I was still a mess waiting. I get it. However, getting frustrated at the admissions committee for not meeting your desire to find out right away serves no purpose. You’ll find out soon enough. Get off this forum, be a high school senior, and go enjoy your Friday night.

What did the tweet say?? I’ve been checking all day between classes, I just have missed it! Waiting is so agonizing!!! Really really hope it’s today.

Oh and happy birthday!!! @sublimeit

@valiente I saw the instagram post and tweet just a while ago it said something like welcome new transfers and new early decision students, I think. But they deleted both the ig and tweet.

@TribeTeacher I love your post! Words of wisdom:)

@TribeTeacher Yeah, I understand. I just want to hear my “no” asap so I can really get to work on other applications. I’ve already started the essays and am done polishing that portion of my other applications, but I don’t want to annoy my recommenders unless they really have to write another one.

regardless of when they come out, good luck to everyone! I hope we all will be heading down to Williamsburg next fall.

@jpvn2015 as a person who writes recommendations-- We don’t mind. We want you to succeed.

@TribeTeacher Good to know. Tribe Pride!
