I know at a college as selective as Williams no one should be confident they’ll get in, but what do you think are my chances? Williams is definitely my #1 choice, will applying ED help me?

Applying ED tends to be a good decision for a lot of schools (Williams included). Your scores, grades, & EC put you in the running for acceptance. I’d say your chances of being accepted are relatively high.

Thanks for your assessment. That’s what I had thought originally about applying ED, but then I read another post on here stating that the ED round at williams is made up of Questbridge, legacy, and recruited applicants. As I am an unhooked applicant would it be better to wait so I’m not competing with those applicants in the ED round?

If Williams is definitely your first choice and the financials work, I recommend applying ED. It’s definitely not ALL Questbridge, legacy, URM and recruited athletes. My daughter was accepted ED last year with none of those hooks. Another note of interest, there were many more males than females accepted in the ED round. And if you are accepted, it’s wonderful to have everything settled by early December.

You look like an exceptionally strong applicant. Should be fine but agree with above – apply ED to improve your chances. Good luck!
