<p>One of the aspects that I really like about Williams is the Williams-Exeter Programme, it seems more established than other study abroad programs at Oxford. I want to know if the programme is open to all majors(specifically economics or political science) because from what I've heard Econ majors are discouraged from applying because the american economic system is different from the european economic system. Does anybody have proof of this? I am particularly interested in PPE(Philosophy, Politics and Economics)</p>
<p>The program is open to all majors. With respect to economics, I am not sure. If anything, certain majors are bid to take caution because the structure of courses and “semesters” at Oxford can interfere with satisfying major requirements. I think Econ might be such a major - I do not think it has anything to do with a difference in economic systems. </p>
<p>That being said, the returning WEPO alum who gave a speech at the information session I attended as a sophomore was an econ major, and he thoroughly enjoyed his time at Oxford and managed to get around whatever difficulties in satisfying requirements it presented. So it is certainly an option for somebody with your interests (especially in philosophy and political science as well).</p>

<p>Lots of people on WEPO study econ there with absolutely no problem. And, if you’re interested in political science, a lot of the political economy classes at Oxford are very popular (and polisci at Oxford in general is great).</p>

<p>polisci is very popular at WEPO, but econ is definitely discouraged. the current director didn’t accept any econ majors for this year for a reason. that being said, you can take political economy.</p>
