Of Williams, Dartmouth, and Duke (to a lesser extent) which has the best physics program for undergraduates?

Williams grad placement is phenomenal over the last 10 years (which is as far as I could find data), but I like that Dartmouth has an in at BLAST.

It is pretty late in the season to be thinking about Wiliams, Dartmouth, Duke, do you not think?

Look, this is about fit from what I hear from your message.

Do you know who you are and what you like and what environment would suit you most?

These three school and two most importantly, are very different and require careful persusement.

If the Dartmouth branding is important to you, then go there.

Either way, any of these schools will satisfy your requirements.

The difference will be your personal satisfaction with regards your person and the school that will either enhance your personal experience or diminish your expectations.

Williams physics is an amazing, close-knit group of people, and it appears that this happens every year. Everyone seems to get along and work together (probably out of necessity, the physics major is challenging, as I am sure you are aware). LOTS of research on campus over the summer, so you can hang out with your friends/make new ones, etc.

Great placement at grad schools, like you mentioned. I mean, working at BLAST could be helpful for grad school placement, but I’d imagine you would have a very good shot applying from Williams (I’d recommend applying after sophomore or junior year; you’ll have E&M and quantum then).
