My daughter was on the wait list @ Winsor last year. we are applying again. Does she have a better chance this year?

Worriedmum:
I personally have no experience with reapplication but other parents on the forum do. I think there have been reports of admittance after a wait list the previous year…though I don’t know how common it is.

The only thing I would advise is to really think about what makes your daughter a better candidate this year than she was last year. In other words, what is going to move her from the wait list pile to the accepted pile. If my daughter were in that situation, I would advise her to NOT submit same essays as previous year (though it means more work).

Best of luck.

One thing I could guess is that the admission committee will appreciate your daughter’s continued interest in the school. Reapplication should show them your daughter likes the school and has a strong desire to be a part of it. So, I think it is a plus. I wish you all the best.

Thanks, I’m hoping her ISEE is better than last year. but last year they said she is qualified but there was just no more space available.
so it was a “soft rejection”.
I’ll get her to work on those essays one of these weekends.
Thanx.
