Winter 2015 Transfer

Did anyone receive the " Cal Poly Pomona Transfer Orientation Reminder " email? If so, for the ’ Transfer Checklist ', for the ’ Pre-Orientation Information Form ', I get an error message " Whoops. That was unexpected…This page doesn’t exist. " I searched online and found a form for new students from high school (which didn’t have the correct Orientation date), but not transfer from with the correct date. Is anyone able to get to this form?

@KenCalPoly84 i didnt get any reminder email

I found the orientation reminder, thanks for the post KenCalPoly, I would’ve missed it…for some reason it was sent to my spam folder. The link is broken for me too, as well as on the transfer orientation website (woofu forms?)

I also noticed they processed my transfer credit report from my transfer college under the academics section. Not so great about the courses not matching specific courses at CPP.

Yea i got the reminder also my link worked, shoot me ur guys email and i can email you guys the forms, plus we get to register for classes and get our id cards on friday.

@brusky thanks for the confirmation. @Jayen426 just curious, are you a transfer from a JC/CC or are you a freshman applicant out of HS? And what is the URL that the “Pre-Orientation Information Form” link? I’m confused at why it is working for you. Can you copy and paste it here please?

To clarify the issue (I believe is CPP’s error):
The steps for what happened on mine: From the email, clicking on the “Transfer Checklist” link takes me to this URL:
http://www.csupomona.edu/~orientation/transfer-orientation/checklist.shtml</a>
On this page, there is a “Pre-Orientation Information Form” link which takes me to this URL:
https://cpporientation.wufoo.com/forms/m15etwor0cru87u/</a></p>

Note that the URL link above that has the ‘wufoo.com’ in it does not work, so what is your URL link and why/how is it working for some and not working for others?

I’m not sure if anyone else is having “Pre-Orientation Information Form” link issue, but thought I’d mention that I emailed Orientation Services and Tweeted, so now waiting for an answer.

I got a response back from Orientation Services and here is the link:
<a href=“Transfer Pre-Orientation Information Request Form”>https://cpporientation.wufoo.com/forms/q1koszzk1mlq8vw/</a></p>

Note: This is an online form that is submitted online.

Thanks guys for the post. I received a new email this morning about orientation and it has a survey link. It’s to studentvoice.com but the rest of the link has a specific, personal id. The pre-orientation link looks like the same info we filled out for registration?

@brusky I received that same email “Transfer Orientation - Assessment & Tutorial” with the link to online assessment and tutorial, which takes me to studentvoice.com… like you said. But I’m not sure if the “Pre-Orientation Online Tutorial” link is the same. It didn’t look familiar to me, but maybe I’m just not following. Hey about the email also mentioned a request for FINAL Transcripts, but I don’t think mine are going to be any different. Do I still have to be submit a second one, even though it’s probably going to be the exact same transcript?

@KenCalPoly84‌ I mean the woofu form, looked like the orientation registration we did awhile back. Yeah my transcripts havent changed much except for a fitness class…but atleast for me need to bring my clep exams scores…im not sure if the final transcripts have to be official though

I get the feeling like orientation is one big evaluation interview and am treating it as such, so must come prepared

So ive printed out my unofficial transcript, TCR, and temp parking pass. What else do i need besides test scores since that does not apply to me.

Here is the “essential” part of the “Transfer Orientation - Assessment & Tutorial” email:

To make the most out of your orientation day and your advising session, please complete the following:

 1. Complete the online assessment and tutorial - Completed.
 2. Submitt all final transcripts and supplemental coursework - This seems like a waste of resource, but I’m going to complete this today.
 3. Submitt official scores for AP/CLEP/IB credit (if applicable) - NA
 4. Log on to BroncoDirect and familiarize yourself with the site - Completed.
 5. Review your Degree Progress Report (DPR) - Completed.
 6. Print your Transfer Credit Report (TCR) the night before orientation - To be completed Thur 10/23.
 7. Learn how to navigate ASSIST.org - Completed.
 8. Review your major curriculum sheet - Completed.

I don’t believe that there is anything else required at this time.

Has anybody been accepted other than those on that first wave on OCT 7th?

Just checked, still nothing…how about you? @WillyMisfit‌

Will we be getting an email about the meeting location for each majors orientation?

@Yakisaka Ive been checking everyday and still just Application Received.

I’m wondering if anybody has been accepted since those CIS majors on 10/7? Weird they accepted a bunch of CIS majors on that day and it seems like nobody else since

@WillyMisfit‌ nothing for me either. Which I guess is reassuring since the majority don’t seem to have heard anything yet, there’s still plenty of hope (hopefully

@Hbkelly Thats very true. I mean we’re all applying for winter transfer so it has to be for non-impacted majors which means if we meet the minimum criteria we’re basically in, right?

My application status hasn’t changed either, and I applied for the CIS concentrarion.

I guess we’re all going to the December 5th Orientation. This is seriously ridiculous how long it’s taking for responses. Gotta make some big decisions depending on whether I get in or not and this is holding that up. Stressing me out.
