Mine have said “initiated” in the transcripts section since the first day they asked for them, don’t think that means anything

I sent my transcripts the day I got the email requesting them, on Sept 15th. Electronic was not an option so I had them mailed, still waiting for Cal Poly to recieve them. I might order another copy and hand deliver it if it gets too close to the deadline.

Yeah I ordered two copies originally, but I really hope I don’t have to do that. Maybe they did say initiated all along but I used to have some red text below saying something about awaiting transcripts, and that is gone.

Mine still says it is waiting for transcripts. If that doesn’t go away next week I’ll probably hand deliver a copy.

I wonder what the to do list says once the transcripts have been received and verified from the school, from saying initiated to…?? Or if it doesn’t change status at all.

Scratch what I said earlier. I have no idea if my transcripts have been received or not. I was looking at the wrong view. Jeez this BroncoDirect site is so unhelpful, and we have hardly any information on when we should be hearing responses. At this point I’m not sure that they’ve received my transcripts and I sent them over a week ago.

I just finished speaking with Cal Poly Pomona’s admission office about the transcripts issue. They told me that it takes around 10-15 days for them to actually process them. I told them that the deadline was the 30th and they pretty much didn’t give any advice after that. I’m thinking of dropping my transcripts off just in case but I’m not sure if I’m being over dramatic. They had to have gotten them. If anyone can make a separate call and see if you get better advice it would be much appreciated.

Okay just called them, waited on hold for 25 minutes, so be warned. The lady I spoke with told me it takes 15-20 business days to process them. ■■■?! She said the to do list will be empty once they have been processed. I said, well I’ve sent them but there’s always a possibility that for some reason it doesn’t get received properly and on time (I had 5 different colleges I had to get transcripts from) and she said as long as you have documentation that shows you’ve ordet d them before the deadline. I can’t imagine it actually takes 15-20 business days because some people are getting admission notices before it hits 15 days (according to previous timelines anyways). So, just gotta keep patient. I have all of the emails from the company that processes the transcripts so I’m not going to drop them off, and hope for the best.

@QatJack @Hbkelly Thanks for the updates guys. I have one more set of transcripts I may just mail for the hell of it, just in case. But yeah Idk if I’m just being over dramatic as well! Two scenarios:

1) My first set was received, and is just still sitting in some huge pile and I’ll have wasted money on postage a second time. An admissions clerk gets annoyed that they received two copies of transcripts for me and is over it 5 seconds later.
2) My first set did somehow get lost and by not sending in a second time I miss the deadline and have to wait until next Fall to possibly go to college.

Meh… It’s only a few dollars for a bit more piece of mind.

@dezryth did you mail them yourself or through the online service? If you did do it yourself, might as well drop it off personally. Just for peace of mind, like you said. Plus, gives you an opportunity to explore the campus if you haven’t seen it yet in going to try my best to not even bother looking at bronco direct until October 1, sounds like there isn’t any point.

I had the transcripts mailed to me from the schools, and then I mailed them myself. I talked to admissions in a couple emails. They told me not to worry, and that dropping off another set would just cause more work for them. That really doesn’t make me feel any better considering by the time I’ll know if they did in fact get them or if they got lost in the mail the deadline will have passed… But yeah apparently when they’ve been received and processed, which just means they’ve logged the transcripts in as received, the to do list items for transcripts will be removed.

"Once they are received and processed then the requests will be removed from your To Do List. "

“Processed just refers to the transcripts being received.”

as someone who has gone through the process at CPP, I should tell you that you won’t hear anything until early october at the earliest. Submit your transcripts and be done with that. If you want to be sure they got them, then just drop off a set at the office. It will take them a while to go through all of them because they get thousands of applicants. Obsessively checking broncodirect isn’t going to change when they get your transcripts and review them.

If you get accepted, then paying your ECD will show up on your to-do list followed by orientation.

Just be patient and you’ll find out in due time.

Update: since this morning it showed on my to-do list as 5 “initiated” transcripts request, and now after I just checked only has three showing. So two of them have been processed and cleared from the to-do list. So, they are certainly processing them faster than I was expecting. I realize this won’t be the case for everyone and perhaps not for the last remaining three, but time will tell.

Yep! All my transcripts are marked “Received on Time” now. That takes a load off. My To-Do list is currently empty though. On to stressing if that means I wasn’t accepted or not haha… JK

Wanted to provide an update for my BroncoDirect statuses:
Student Center > under Admissions section > under My Applications box is a green circle (Application Status is “Complete”)
also
View My Application Status > the first row Status is still ‘Application Received’ but under the first row is ‘No items required at this time.’ and below that is a row with the following details: under Item ‘College Transcript’ is no longer in red text (blue text now) and under ‘Status’ is ‘Received On Time’ and under ‘Status Date’ is 09/24/2014
also
View My To Do List > no items

So, not sure how long it will take to process, but I am anticipating another update about 10/1

They accepted my La Verne transcript but not my Chaffey Community College transcript, which was sent electronically.

Transcripts now shown as received today 09/25/2014, but the application status still says Application Received instead of Initiated. Also under the student center I still have the yellow triangle for incomplete, but nothing in my to-do list. Hopefully this gets updated soon.

My transcript status still says initiated too for Chaffey College transcripts, sent electronically. :-/

@ciamariee11 Maybe we should drop them off if it cuts too close to the deadline?

@QatJack yeah. Better to be safe than sorry
