@Hbkelly Thanks! True but I figure it’s worth a shot. I’ll update once my transcripts have been processed. Thanks again! (:

Thanks @Hbkelly . I e-mailed her and she stated that she pretty much can’t technically do anything but that she will have the admissions office keep an eye out for my transcript and that “hopefully” it is recognized before the orientation date So I’m pretty sure I wont receive any feedback on acceptance or denial for a while…

Oh dang… So I guess she had nothing to do with my clearance then. It just finally got cleared on its own… Well
Hopefully they speed up knowing that they are on a deadline @QatJack

I called the admission office this morning to see when they would be making acceptance decisions. I was told not to expect anything until November, which sucks because it seems like last year people got decisions on October 1st.

OMG… Are you serious. That’s not cool! That’s so last minute for orientation and registration if class starts january 5th. Hopefully classes won’t fill up for those accepted.

I find it hard to believe since what people say to different people at the office is so inconsistent.

Yeah I’m not sure if I believe it either. The first orientation date is in October 24th so I doubt they would wait till after that to announce acceptance. She was quick to try to get my off the phone and not very helpful.

Looks like my transcript cleared! Looks like she did do something, @Hbkelly. Thank you so much.

I’m sure she’s misinformed @HGolden77 I’m sure they’re instructed to be as vague as possible so they aren’t held up to any strict guidelines. And who knows if the person answering even has much knowledge of the winter quarter process, could be a part time student for all we know. @QatJack oh that’s a relief! I’m glad she helped out. She didn’t even respond to my email so I’m glad she engaged you.

I got the same reply back as @QatJack but my transcript is finally cleared.
I don’t think the people answering the phone always know what they’re talking about. Seeing as when I originally called about electronic transcripts I was told they would accept them. I guess we just have to wait and see now.

Looking back at the 2014 thread, someone didn’t have their application status change to provisional admit until about 3:20pm October 1st. It seems like cal poly has been following similar dates this year so maybe statuses will start changing today? crosses fingers

Hi guys, I’m a little late to the party but does anyone know why Cal Poly Pomona is taking so long? I also applied to Cal State LA and I was accepted two months ago! I’m a little nervous I won’t get in to Cal Poly since my GPA dropped to 2.95 (Business with Concentration in CIS is my major). In all honestly Cal Poly is the only school I want to get into, but today is the deadline for the ECD and I don’t want to be left without a school for winter. lol I don’t know what to do :(

@Albert2210 Where did you see today was the deadline for the ECD?

@HGolden77 I’m not sure about Cal Poly but when I got accepted to Cal State LA they sent me an email that states:

"As an incoming upper division transfer student, please comply with the following admissions/enrollment requirements and deadlines:

Summer 2014: Last qualifying coursework term for Winter 2015 admissions consideration
October 1, 2014: Submit the non-refundable $100.00 (USD) Enrollment Confirmation Deposit.
October 15, 2014: Submit official, final transcript(s) and test scores (AP, CLEP, IB, etc).
January 5, 2015: Winter Quarter 2015 begins
*Registration instructions will be emailed to eligible new students in mid-November 2014."

@albert2210 pay the ECD for LA, I did. No choice really, just money you have to Invest. I hope to get into cal poly but I need to pay for LA so I have a back up. I already sent transcripts to LA as well just in case.

I think @Hbkelly is right, you’ll just have to pay for CSULA so you will have a safety net. You won’t pay the ECD for Cal Poly until after you’ve been accepted, which seems like nobody has so far.

Thanks guys, I’m going to pay the ECD right now. I was hoping Cal poly would have told us by now if we are in or not !, but I guess they like to keep us waiting.

@HGolden77 so if your status is provisional admit, isn’t that still not a guarantee? Does that mean they have received transfripts but haven’t verified them? If not, why say provisional admit still? Ya know?

@Hbkelly does your status say provisional admit now? Its not a complete guarantee but you are pretty much in. It could still be rescinded but I think thats pretty rare.

No @HGolden77 mine hasn’t changed to provisional admit, I wish! I’m just wondering why they give it a wishy washy term if you’re already cleared for admission Ya know. One of cal polys many quirks within their admission process.
