@zz123123 don’t worry, it idon’t major specific. CPP is so all over the place as far as this process goes. Nothing is streamlined. They notify of admissions on a rolling basis, not by major. Whatever that means. So it seems to be in waves, I would think that if by end of next week if we haven’t heard anything that it’s probably not good. Could be wrong…

CPP does hand out admissions in waves. You will receive admission well into next month. You should note that all admission is provisional and CAN be rescinded if you fail to meet any requirement. If you haven’t been accepted by November, then your chances of being accepted are slimmer.

Just be patient because they do have thousands of applicants to go through.

@kencalpoly84 I think you should be secure for your orientation date, did you receive the email confirming it? Also under register for orientation it should now have an option to print your parking pass. I’m wondering why the green check went back to a circle…

I think as long as you have all 60 units, your general ed, and Golden Four taken care of by Summer semester you should be fine. Looking back at older threads people had it rescinded for either missing deadlines for making payments/turning in documents, or still finishing up their requirements during the Fall semester.

@Reneeday I received the payment confirmation email and the “Your Orientation Session Confirmation” email which states “Thank you for your recent Orientation reservation. Your reservation will be FINALIZED when your payment has been received …” The thing that I’m worried about is that if Admissions/Cashier does not apply my payment properly, then it will appear that I have not paid my Orientation Fee and/or it was not received, therefore my reservation will not be finalized, and by then the date will be filled up and I would lose my spot. Sounds a bit paranoid, but that is my concern. I did print my parking pass immediately after I registered/submitted payment yesterday, but I’ll check and confirm today. That’s not a bad idea. Thank you. Btw the status change from green check to green circle is normal, according to what I’ve read in the Winter 2014 Transfer forum.

I just received the Orientation Services e-mail:

“If you decide to become a Bronco and submit your Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD), you will need to register for and attend orientation on Friday, October 24 or Friday, December 5;”…“Once you register, an $81.00 fee will posted to your account, which will cover your program materials, advising, meals, photo ID, and parking for the day.” That’s on top of the $100 for the ECD.

ECD applies towards your first term’s tuition though.

Ok, so I found a posting from Fall 2013 on how and when they accept people, might help:

“They admit people by department […on the degree of how impacted the program is?..] and I think only one person is handling all of it. But it’s mostly done by the computer. You’re all ranked by your GPA and location (I think). There’s some algorithm to it. It goes down the list. So the lower the GPA, the longer you wait”

From what I’ve read the majority of people provisionally get accepted within October early November. But this does not mean records has converted your transcripts yet and checked your requirements, which is the provisional part.

@tehjoadsta, good to know, at least they’re not gouging you so early in the process.

Paid the $100 for ECD and $81 orientation fee…I’ve got the “miscellaneous fee” same as everyone else, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Got into the Oct. 24 orientation date. Good stuff!

BroncoDirect is in Maintenance…so I have to check it tomorrow!

Congrats to all of you who got admitted! Did anyone else get accepted? Getting hella depressed over here.

Nothing on my end either @QatJack

I’m Bus Ad. - CIS, with around a 3.1 GPA so I assume I’ll be waiting a while since that’s kind of on the lower end. But yeah I feel you @QatJack. I wonder if they’ve moved on to other majors… waaah

Nada. I got excited seeing all the bus admin. majors getting accepted tho. Major is business admin - accounting with around 3.75 gpa. @QatJack

As someone who went through this process already, I can tell you that CPP absolutely does NOT hand out admittance based of GPA and go down from there. When I applied, I had a 2.4 GPA and was admitted with the first wave. Other people with a 3.5 or so in the same major and concentration did not get admitted until after I did.

There will be waves until next month. But when you do get accepted, be sure to get the earliest registration date you can. You will register for classes at orientation and you will have priority over current students (including students with priority registration).

@tehjoadsta Yes, but the only problem is that in our situation the supposed end date for signing up for the first date of registration happens to end tomorrow, the 10th of October. Leaving only one orientation day left in December, which by then all of the classes will be full.

No idea then how they admit people based on what tehjoadsta said, so I wouldn’t worry, it seems like randomness how they do it. The only thing I can think of is I hand delivered my transcripts like some of the others…but don’t know.

I was accepted 2 weeks ago for winter 2015, I paid my ECD and my orientation which I will be attending 10-24. My major is Computer Information. My status has changed from Prov Admit to UGRD CLEAR AFTER PROV ADMIT. Does anyone know what that means?

Did anyone have hospitality major get accepted?
