Winter 2015 Transfer

@KenCalPoly84‌
Hey, congrats! Could I ask what is your GPA and major? :))

@zz123 my initial transfer calculated GPA was 3.88, but actual transfer GPA is probably 3.7-ish and my major is Bus Ad - Computer Information Systems. Hope that helps.

@KenCalPoly84‌ Ahhh yes, you will be able to fully relax now on that cruise!! Enjoy and thanks!

@KenCalPoly84‌
It helps, thanks! Btw do you also receive a email that notify you are admitted?

Hi CPP potential fellow students. I want to preface what I’m about to post with a warning: This action may not be for everyone and I am not suggesting that anyone else do it, but it makes sense for me and my situation.

I noticed that my application changed to ‘Provisional Admit’ and Student Center status to ‘Admitted’, but there were no items under my To Do List. In anticipation of the ECD fee (possibly due 10/10), since it is 10/7/2014 today, I went ahead and submitted my payment of $100, even though BroncoDirect says that I currently have no outstanding charges at this time. Some students may want to know how that is done, since it looks like there isn’t anything or anyway to make a payment when looking at your Student Center > Finances section.

Here’s how I did it:
Log into your BroncoDirect > go to your Student Center > look under the Finances section > under the warning “You have no outstanding charges at this time.” there is a link labeled “click here to pay >”.
Click on “click here to pay>”. Note: Make sure that all pop-up blockers are turned off/disabled.
A pop-up window will display, which takes you to CASHNet (Error)
Everything on the page will indicate that there is nothing to pay for, but you can still add items to your cart and make a payment.
Towards the left-side of the page > under the “Your Account” section > notice that there are three lines: “Current Balance $0.00”, “(Credit balances not displayed)”, and “Click here to make a payment”.
Click on the “Click here to make a payment” link.
You will be taken to a page where “You may purchase the following items:” with a list of fees that you can add to your cart and submit a payment for.
The first item on the list is the “Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD)” > to the right if $100 > and to the right of that is “View Details”
Click on “View Details” > it will take you to a page with the details for the ECD (make sure that your Select Admitted Term is correct, such as Wrt Qrt 2015)
Click on “Add to Items in Cart” > click on Checkout > and move through the rest of the payment process.

Again, I am not recommending that anyone do this. I am doing this to make sure that I do not miss the deadline, but there are risks for doing this. 1) The due date for the ECD for Winter 2015 is not confirmed to be 10/10/2014 and 2) The payment may possibly not be applied properly, since this was not appearing as one of my To Do items.

Do this at your own risk. Good luck.

@zz123123 No, I did not receive an email from Cal Poly Pomona that notified me that I was admitted, but from what I’ve read, the email may come a lot later, or not at all. Sadly, that means logging into BroncoDirect and checking everyday.

Status changed to Provisional Admit

Major: Bus Ad-Accounting Option
GPA: 2.95, but with my AS-T degree I think it gets bumped up to 3.15
Transferring from Orange Coast College (Non-Local)
I applied on June 1st, not sure if that matters when you hear back

I called admissions and they said to wait on the ECD payment until it prompts you to do so because it might not sync with you account. If it gets to Oct 10th and it’s still not there, I’ll probably do what @KenCalPoly84‌ did and just pay it to be safe. They haven’t decided if they are sticking with the normal deadline for it or not at this point.

I have not received an email yet, I just checked Bronco Direct.

Good luck to everyone else!

Just checked, mine still hasn’t changed :frowning: Oh No!!

Oh and congrats to those who have received the provisional admit. xD

It’s okay @Albert2210‌ neither has mine!! Lol

Under application status, my status changed to provisional admit and the ECD due date is 10/17.
I haven’t received an email but under student center the green circle has changed to a green check.

Once you click register for orientation, it won’t let you and will prompt you to pay the ECD then add ECD to cart.

I checked my BroncoDirect again this morning and noticed the following changes:
under View My Application Status > “No items required at this time.” > Items Received section, there are two items: 1. College Transcript and 2. Enrollment Confirm. Deposit
No items under my To Do List.
under Student Center > Admissions > My Applications section, ‘Application Status’ changed from green checkmark = Admitted back to green circle = Complete

I think that this is part of the normal process.

@KenCalPoly84‌ so for the college transcript, is that just your Fall semester transcript? When is the due date?

@kencalpoly84 Same thing happened to me. Nothing under items required or to do list. Under student center it changed from the green check to green circle. Why did I check again this morning!? -_- I’ve already paid the ECD and Orientation fee’s

@Hbkelly umm I’m not sure if they are Fall semester transcripts, but it included all my classes up until the end of Summer 2014 at Santa Ana College. The due date I believe was 9/30/2014.

@Reneeday Looks like we’re on the same track. I was a bit worried yesterday, since I submitted a payment for the ECD Fee, registered for Orientation, and submitted a payment for the Orientation Fee, but none of these items showed under my To Do List (so sort of a force payment). I was afraid that the payments would not be applied properly, but this morning when I checked, it looks like the ECD Fee applied properly. The Orientation Fee however showed yesterday as being applied as a Miscellaneous Fee rather than Orientation Fee, and this was not updated on my BroncoDirect this morning. I contacted CPP Admissions, they checked with the Cashiers office, and made sure that they are applying the Miscellaneous Fee to my Orientation Fee. So, I think I’m good. I hope. I would hate to lose my place for Orientation, since I already put in a request to have the day off at work. I printed out all of the information that states the Orientation date that I signed up for, so I’m showing up on that day no matter what. Crossing Fingers

I’m on the same track as @KenCalPoly84‌, paid ECD which shows up as recieved underneath my transcrpits. Signed up for orientation, then an $81 miscellaneous charge appeared in my CashNet cart, so I paid that as well. I will probably call to double check that gets processed.

Went from green check mark back to green circle after I paid ECD and signed up for orientation.

I checked BroncoDirect this morning, I got my provisional admit too! Admission deposit due October 17. This is a big relief, as I was giving myself 60% chance of getting in.

Will pay for orientation fees today and see what happens with my status checks…

By the way, what does “provisional status” mean? Is there a chance acceptance might be rescinded because of something?

Congrats @HGolden77 and @brusky! and @brusky I’m not exactly sure what CPP’s Provisional Admit means, but from what I’ve read, even after paying all the fees and it looks like a transfer applicant was “Admitted”, their status can still be rescinded. There are no guarantees until you are registered for CPP classes and are actually sitting in a class. That’s just my take. Maybe someone else will have more precise information.

I am wondering do they give out admission by major since you guys all applied for major that related to Bus Ad? I dk…
My major is hospitality management and GPA is 3.37. Nothing changes so far, and I am extremely nervous.
