<p>This may sound like a noobish question but just wanna make sure. Do you move out of your dorm entirely for winter break (i.e. move everything out)? I've looked all over and the ut website doesn't seem to address it.</p>

<p>The residence halls close at 9:00 AM on December 15 and reopen on January 9 at 9:00 AM. You do not need to officially check out and may leave your belongings in your room (unless you are changing rooms at the semester). Students will not be allowed access to the halls during the winter break, please take critical items you may need including passport, medications, plants, or fish.</p>
