Winter grades update consideration

I took pre-cal pass/nopass and I got a W in Calculus 1. I retook it and ended up getting a B. I am taking Calculus 2 and I am getting an A. I really want adcoms to take it into consideration. How do I report them? I am applying to Haas, UCLA, UCI,UCD and UCSD.

You are currently taking Calc 2, as in you won’t be finished until May? If you are taking it in spring and won’t have your official grades until June, I wouldn’t add it to your TAU. If you have grades that might look better that are already out, though, then you can add those. However, the priority deadline for guaranteed TAU review was 1/31. I added my winter grades when they came out just for the sake of showing that I’ve maintained my GPA, regardless of if they actually see it or not.

@incogneato my winter grades show up in the begining of April. Is it better to email them individually? Rather than the TAU update.

@itakenotes You mean once you’ve already completed the classes? At that point, it will be nearing the release of decisions and won’t do you much good. Only add grades that are already on your transcript. I know it’s tempting to show them what you can do, but you’ve already given them the majority of your work. At this point, they’ll be going off of your past to predict your future.

@incogneato I guess I can use that to appeal if I don’t get in *knock on wood :)>-
