<p>I'm a little confused with the whole idea of wintersession. Do you have to be at Wellesley if you aren't going to be taking any classes? Does this mean that you'll have a super long winter break? I would really appreciate your response! Thanks.</p>
<p>I think it's totally optional, since you have to pay extra in meal fees IF you go. The impression I got is that you can go any or all of your four years if you choose, and you can take a just-for-fun class or internship, or you can stay home.</p>

<p>I'm really liking this idea because my parents want to go out of the country for Christmas, and it just seems more worth it if we have more time for a vacation. Thanks elizabeth22 for the response!</p>
