So I was looking @ UCLA's thread and there was a similar topic on this.
How does wireless internet access work at Stanford?
Is it just a simple matter of logging in?
Or are there programs and software involved?

Thanks (;

you have to register your computer (usually done in the first week you arrive, takes about 20mins the process i think) and then you can access wireless anywhere on campus

What about Ipod Touches?

@marktwain

Stanz has its own iPhone app, so i think thats kind of a given, no?

Register computer, then you can get it almost anywhere on campus (dorms, dining halls, academic buildings, cafes, etc.), usually with great reception. No software needed.

that’s pretty cool

are you able to connect outside as well? or is it just indoors?

Outside too, depending on how far away from a router it is. Near buildings, yes. In the middle of a football field? Probably little to no reception.
