With my horrible test scores but high GPA...

Hi guys
So I'm gonna be a senior and I am incredibly stressed

My top schools right now are U of Wash in Seattle, BU, Boston College (applying EA), Fordham, GW in DC, etc

I live in NJ and go to a pretty good school also!
But my problem is my test scores...

I didn't even bother taking the SAT because I suck
ACT: 29 :( :( :( :( I took it twice and I am going to take it again in September but I seriously feel as though I simply CANNOT get the 30 no matter what I do. I've done 4 books at this point and have had 2 tutors!!

GPA: 4.2 which is pretty good I think for me because I am in the top 10% of my class

Junior Courses : All honors besides pre calc and then AP bio and english
Senior Courses : All honors besides calc (clearly I suck at math...) and then AP world and AP english

EC: I lead a volunteer program tutoring middle schoolers (basically i coordinate everything and send out emails and stuff), go to the charter school in a sketchy town and volunteer there, i'm in future educators of america, debate judge, environmental club, peer leadership program for freshman and sophomores, but no sports. I also am in National Honors Society!!

So my situation here is that will my bad ACT score not get me into the schools I'm applying to? MAINLY BOSTON COLLEGE - IS THAT A TOTAL REACH FOR ME? It won't be the end of the world if it is because there are so many schools but what are my chances considering my poor ACT score?

Thanks

Yes, your ACT is a little low for Boston College, but still almost 25% of students there had lower scores than 29. With your grades, you have a good chance of getting it. So… GO FOR IT!

Boston University is a solid match. You probably would get in there. Same with Fordham. UW might, or might not, be difficult, because I hear that it is very competitive for out of state students.

A 29 ACT is actually very good – top 10% nationally. You will be fine.

ahhh ok thanks for your help
