Withdraw? or Just retake?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I'm in chem101, frankly saying, I might end up with a C (if not,possibly a D). So, my question is if grad schools/med schools prefer a W and retaken to get a an A, or a C/D retaken to get an A? I know, both are very bad grades but which one doesn't seem as bad? Your advice is very much appreciated.</p>

<p>Plus, my GPA is replaced with a new grade when I retake it (both withdraw and regular grade), so I wouldn't have a problem with my GPA- just the transcript as the W/Grade will be shown even if I retake it.</p>

<p>Do it only if you’re actually going to continue with premed. If you’re like most people, you just say you’re premed because everyone else is. Most people end up not pursuing it, and if you’re one of those people, might as well just work hard, get through it, and figure out what you really want to do.</p>
