EDers who are already accepted to NYU,how/when do you write your emails to other schools to notify them that you are going to NYU and withdraw those applications?
Thanks!

Good idea, I need to get on that. :S

I was thinking the same thing. Seems futile and who would know??? I applied to 4 EA schools other than NYU and have heard from them all...so it's not a matter of "pulling the application" and it's not as if they send a post card saying check box "yes" or "no" I will not be attending.

What's the protocol even? Letter (does it have to be regestered in case you have TO PROVE something) e-mail????

I never actually sent out my other apps...

salem1: protocol is that you need to notify even the schools you have already heard from...they are holding a spot for you if you were accepted that someone else would probably love to have....e-mail is fine (request a confirmation of receipt)

I've actually sent out my UCs applications, but haven't notified them that I've accepted to NYU...

I withdraw UC total of 6 campus, UF, and USC by email. you just need to give your application ID, your birth day, and where you were borned.

But it is kind of waste of money..

Applications to other colleges must be withdrawn for a couple of reasons.

It's part of your E.D. agreement with NYU and should have been done as soon as you were offered admission and sent in your deposit and reply form.

It is unfair to tie up a spot at another school when you know you will not be attending.

Send a letter via email or snail mail. "Who would know?" is not a valid argument.
