Withdrawing a class I already failed?

Hi all, as the title says I’m considering withdrawing. I took stats last semester but I ended up failing it because it was a hybrid. I signed up for it again this semester and it’s…another hybrid. So all of the assignments are online and available to do at any time but aren’t due until the day of the test, and it’s more or less self study.
I thought I could handle it this time if I kept up with a schedule I set myself, but with other classes and working nearly full time, I prioritized my more active classes. I decided if I felt overwhelmed, I would drop stats before the “Avoid W” deadline passed. But I got busy with work and my other classes, completely ignoring stats. When I finally realized how behind and overwhelmed I felt, I realized that I just missed the deadline by a day. So if I drop it now it’ll be considered a withdrawal.
This will leave me with only one more chance to take it and I’m terrified of messing up again and being out of chances. Should I just take the withdrawal or stick to the class? Are there any other options? Thanks!

Only you know exactly where you stand and what you are capable of making up. Probably better to take a W then to fail it again. Dont’ see other options since you miss the date to withdraw without a W.

Going forward would recommend that you get yourself a calendar (either a paper calendar or on your phone) and put down important days like the last day to withdraw date, assignment dates etc. on it so you don’t miss something like that again – staying organized and on top of things is important in college.
