Withdrawing from a course first semester senior year

I plan to major in Economics, but I enrolled in Human Anatomy I. It has been a struggle and I currently have a C in the course. The best grade I could get is a B (only if I get an A on the remaining exams). I am considering withdrawing from the course as it takes up so much time to study for and I do not plan to major in the field.

Would this affect my RD applications to school like the Ivies?

It would take me from taking 10 credits to 6. I would still have 5 honors, 2 regular courses, plus 2 DE courses if I do.

I really need advice, the deadline to withdraw is Friday.

At the college, the class is apart of the degree for nursing and allied health and this is why I am struggling in it, not to make excuses. By the time I realized the class was like this, it was the 2nd week of the course and too late to drop without a W on my transcript.

No one in the class is under 25 except me. I have dealt with course like this before except in those cases the professor did not detail the course to specific majors it was just teaching the course material by the book.

Are you in HS? Then talk to your Guidance Counselor. As long as you are taking some other science, I dont’ think it would be an issue.

It should be fine to drop the class
–Agree that you should check with your guidance counselor and be sure you will meet HS graduation requirements without it.

–If this is your only science class for the year you may also want to double check that you will meet any requirements/recommendations of colleges you apply to without the class.

–In addition, if you have included the class on your list of senior year classes of any applications you should notify the admissions officers at those colleges that you have dropped the class.

@bopper and @happy1 ,

Thank you for responding. I spoke to my guidance counselor and it will not affect my graduation requirements.
In addition, it is not my only science class this semester. I have not sent out any applications yet so it was not included on any.
