Most of my classes are back to back.

Would I be able to these buildings in 10 minutes?

From A1 Hearst Annex to Evans
From Wheeler to McCone

Most of my classes are back to back.

Would I be able to these buildings in 10 minutes?

From A1 Hearst Annex to Evans
From Wheeler to McCone

both are pretty doable.

Would I be late to these classes? I've heard that Hearst Annex to Evans might take awhile?

A1 Hearst Annex (Lec) to Evans (Dis)

Wheeler (Lec) to McCone (Dis)

Would I need a bike or scooter? I haven't riden a scooter for 7-8 years.

get heelys.. lol.

Unless you live pretty far from campus, I'm under the opinion that a bike is more trouble than it's worth. Bike theft is pretty common in the area, and also it takes time to find a bike rack spot and lock it up.

And...a scooter? Really?

Hearst Annex to Evans is doable in 10, although you have to walk briskly.

Wheeler to McCone is easier than Hearst Annex to Evans, I'd argue. It's a straight line north. Actually, come to think of it, Hearst Annex to Evans is also pretty much a straight shot north if you go between Moses and Stephens.

Pimentel to Mulford?

Stanley to Valley LSB? I have no idea of how far that actually is.

Pimentel to Mulford will require strong legs as will Stanley to Valley LSB. You'll need to find the best route that minimizes hills and construction and whatever.

Will I have to run to make it? Gotta do it every MWF.

How's Stanley to Hearst Annex?

I think you can walk Pimentel to Mulford in 10 minutes. I think that is mostly downhill, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Stanley to Heart Annex is all about finding the best route. I would do a dry run before you have to do it for real, because the first time you'll get into trouble with construction and whatever. You need to find the optimal path.

What about Dwinelle to Pimental? and Pimental to Evans?

Thanks in advance

Dwinelle to Pimentel is easy but uphill. You'll just have to figure out how you like to walk uphill. It's a mildly scenic walk.

Pimentel is right next to Evans.

Looking again at the map, I think Stanley to Valley LSB actually shouldn't be too bad.

kenf, how can I be sure about this? I'm just so confused mate! I do NOT want to be late to class every bloody time!

Well, we can look at the map:
UC Berkeley - Large campus map

Pimentel down to Moffit is pretty much a straight shot, I think it's downhill mostly. Then you take that fork left, on the south side of the creek, and shoot up to Mulford. That is how I would do it. I think it should work in 10 minutes. I'm assuming you're physically strong and can walk fast if you have to. I wouldn't get too paranoid about it. You'll also figure out which class is more expendable. So one might be OK to leave early from, or the other might be OK to be late to.

Note to all of you, you can go to maps.google.com and type in UC Berkeley and do the satellite and get a pretty good high resolution view of the campus and buildings. You can see exactly the lay of the land.

How about

Barker to Birge
Birge to Tolman

Thanks in advance.

Another note: if you have class in a big lecture hall and your next class is pretty far away, sit near the exits and in the aisle seats--it takes awhile for 500 people to leave from 3 exits in pimentel.

These are such weird inquiries-- how long it takes to get from point A to point B totally depends on the person.

During your welcome week (or welcome 4-days this year), your RA's will hold an activity where they take you to your classes. You can figure out for yourself how long it takes then. And if it takes too long for you to make these trips, then adjust (leaving earlier, walking faster, getting better shoes, etc).
